I dare you to come up with an appropriate response for something like that, because I guarantee you can't. I've been trying to think of one for hours and still have nothing.

IN MY DEFENSE That was a smooth line. So smooth, I just glossed over it without noticing until too late.
He slipped in another before that, but it was a little more subtle, and, again, I didn't notice until way later.

We kept talking, and then his sister showed up (which was why he was checking the time on his phone) and I totally forgot her name when introductions were made so now I feel naggingly guilty.

The conversation went well.
His creativity in concepts intimidates me.

Aw how sweet :3 you're making a friend!

Bet you can't guess what I usually read Now's the perfect chance. Whilst he is talking jump across the table and plant a nice big one on his lips, knocking him out of his chair and putting you in the perfect position to lay a few more on him.

@D-KeyNote: Hahahaha~ I wish I could say i've let subtle hints like that slip by, but no one would say those things to me.... that and my friends and i are always joking around with things like this that being subtle is no longer uncommon, so it's easier to read between the lines xD

@lil_shiro I agree completely. FULL BLOWN MAKE OUT SESSION! A HELL YES!

Reply D-KeyNote, September 13th, 2012, 11:35 pm

@ChizuPloo: That is indeed my intention. My only intention ever, really.

@lil_shiro: Excuse me. EXCUSE ME. THIS IS A LIBRARY. ONE DOES NOT SIMPLY INITIATE A MAKE-OUT SESSION VIA GUERRILLA ATTACK WITHOUT THE OTHER PATRONS DRAGGING YOU OFF. Plus we were sitting on those chairs that have an extra edge on the bottom for stable tilting, so I don't know how that would have gone physics-wise.

@Kiel95: Is there someplace that offers a class on this "reading between the lines" in social situations/settings? I need this class.

Don't worry, I'm pretty oblivious to stuff too.....
YAY! New friends!!! :)

@D-KeyNote: Sorry, no class for "reading between the lines"... The only reason I have friends that flirt and joke around with each other is because my first friend in middle school (i went to a private school up until sixth grade) was very outgoing. She spoke to me first, and i was so shy >.< but things got interesting since her personality is like really outgoing and very flirtatious ^^;

And then... You should totally "drop" a business card or something linking to your webcomic page. Then he'd have access to your innermost thoughts and secrets. Whether that helps or not, not sure. But it's be pretty hilarious.

That WAS smooth. WOAH. O.O
And it's great to know you have a new friend who'll discuss story ideas with you. :D

Wow! So smooth! *takes notes* (Although it's probably flattering but a bit uncomfortable for you, huh?) Try to drop hints that you're not interested? Some how?

Reply D-KeyNote, September 24th, 2012, 4:11 pm

@Desaire: The last thing he needs to do right now is read this. Not everyone would be flattered to be featured in a comic diary hardly a day after meeting the person.

@-music-: IKR? The only downside to having "writer" friends is that they want to discuss their ideas just as much as you do, so one of you has to shut up for the other to talk.

@Sir: Uncomfortable in the sense that I don't know how to respond. And it doesn't help that by the time I notice, it's already an hour after the fact. Interested? Definitely in the platonic sense; I took the initiative in breaking the ice.

Perhaps next time your chatting about story ideas with him bring up romance and his thoughts on how it should be handled in a story? //nudge nudge//
